Not that I realized it at the time; at the time, I was too scared.Andrew Leonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13964775673414653644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8586403344533829376.post-56987402482546899672018-08-13T12:43:30.557-04:002018-08-13T12:43:30.557-04:00I have had moments like that, too. Singleton makes a distinction, though, between being conscious of race in general and being conscious of one's own race, especially for White people. The lines are fuzzy, admittedly, which is why he encourages people to talk about it.The Armchair Squidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13509001761075530940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8586403344533829376.post-87520329364420052402018-08-13T12:28:35.544-04:002018-08-13T12:28:35.544-04:00I feel like I've been reflecting about race, o...I feel like I've been reflecting about race, on and off, since I was 20 and my church voted to shut down rather than have people of color in it. I was the only one in the 500+ people at the meeting/vote on the issue who spoke out against what was going on.Andrew Leonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13964775673414653644noreply@blogger.com
