Family Adventures: Mills Riverside Park
The English Prof and The Playwright came to visit us this weekend. On Saturday afternoon, we went for a walk at Mills Riverside Park. That's Mount Mansfield peeking through the clouds.
On the way home, we stopped at our local pie shack to stock up.
Boy do I love pie! There is no place to buy pie here in Norway and although I love to cook, I am not a baker and can not do pies :( I miss pie! Nice to meet you...
There is a scene in the 1987 adaptation (Kevin Sullivan?) of 'Anne of Green Gables' that looks remarkably like the image you've posted of the rust-colored gable and picket fence over the gravel path. I think Marilla rides through it on a buggy before warning Gilbert that Anne is still, 'very young ...'
Wow, you are devoted! The Maritimes and New England do have a very similar feel. It would be cool to find out there are some Vermont shots, though it would appear filming was all done in Canada: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088727/locations.

ReplyDeleteI'd miss pie, too. On the other hand, are the Norwegians as good at pastries as the Danes and Germans are? Kringle - I love kringle!
