Squid Eats: Dirty Truth

Some meals loom larger than others in the history of a family: the first dinner out for the couple, the first Thanksgiving together, the last cheeseburger the night before the birth, etc.  Our dinner at Dirty Truth in Northampton, Massachusetts was a pretty big deal, our last together before the college drop-off parting.  Sigh...

At Dirty Truth, I learned of the state's strict beef temperature standards for rare, medium rare, etc., explaining my experience at The People's Pint.

  1. I'm not sure if that's a brilliant name for a restaurant or a terrible one.
What kind of soup is that?
And those look like some interesting cheeses. What's that in the bowl in the lower right corner?

    1. Northampton's a pretty edgy town. The name doesn't seem to have hurt business any.

So... I'm not really sure regarding the specifics. They've since changed the menu online. I usually count on being able to refer back. This meal was now over a month ago!

In the bowl - pretty sure those are olives.

  2. Dirty Truth--it sounds like a place of adventure! Do they wash their hands before returning to work?

    1. Haha! I can vouch that the premises and the staff are, in fact, clean.
