A D-Day Swizzle combines elderflower liqueur, apple cider vinegar, green Chartreuse, absinthe (or pastis) and hard apple cider with an apple (or pear) garnish. I got my recipe from David Lebovitz's
Drinking French. The result is a refreshing beverage.
While the elderflower is dominant, there's quite a lot going on flavor-wise with such a diverse ingredient list. Once again, the absinthe is present mostly in the nose, though there's a pleasant minty tingle on the lips from the anise as well.
That sounds like an interesting drink. I've seen the elderflower liqueur at our local booze palace.
