Now 30 years old, Montañés has quietly put together a very solid professional career. He's been more or less camped out in the World Top 100 for a decade. He boasts five career titles, all on clay, though he's never been past the fourth round of a major. He's had great success in Morocco before, making it to the finals in 2007, ultimately losing to the Frenchman Paul-Henri Mathieu in straight sets.
