Davis went through qualifying to reach her first Roland Garros main draw. She celebrated the occasion by taking out a seed in the first round. The Cleveland native comes from a medical family. Mom's a nurse. Dad's a doctor.

  1. I love tennis but I keep missing the French Open coverage because it's on too early in the morning for me. I always check the scores though.

  2. For me, too, the French is my weekends only Slam. Thank goodness for the Internet! I can't complain too much, though. Having the summer off allows me to watch plenty of Wimbledon.

  3. I have always been a fan of the Olympics and have itched for a forum of sorts to throw out the odd comment on the ice skaters and the divers in particular.

    Here's hoping your spectator enthusiasm will be as pronounced for those events.

    1. Count on it. I don't know if I'll be up for a daily post this time around but I look forward to sharing my thoughts. I have a much stronger emotional attachment to the Winter Games than the Summer Games but I'm sure to watch plenty anyway.
