Gin and ginger, as the name suggests, combines gin with ginger ale. In fact, it's just like last week's drink except with ginger ale rather than ginger beer. The result is sweeter and less gingery, perfect if you like a hint of the stuff without blowing out your sinuses. My recipe came from The New York Bartender's Guide.
Ooh. A must try. My tea here is ginger flavor btw. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds lovely.
Deleteoooooooooo, I think kitty likes this one !
ReplyDeleteI like ginger ale and I like gin so this sounds so good to me.
cheers, parsnip
It was a good combo.
DeleteUnfortunately, since I quit drinking soda, I'm not a fan of ginger ale anymore.
ReplyDeleteCompletely irrationally, I think of ginger ale as being healthier than other sodas.
DeleteThere may be some that are, but the mass market varieties are going to be just as full of sugar as any other soda. Ginger ale may be worse, actually, since, for most people, you really have to cut the bite of the ginger with lots of sugar.
DeleteLike I said, irrational.
DeleteGinger is tasty which is why its found in drinks, food and biscuits. My favourite is ginger butter biscuits and often, I gobble down the whole pack - unless the cookie monster comes home for dinner, lol.
ReplyDeleteThat sound's lovely. Paul Newman's Ginger-Os are a favorite of mine.
