Title: "Suzy"
Writer: Andrew Ratshin
Original Release: 1984
Band: Uncle Bonsai
Album: Lonely Grain of Corn
Game Designer introduced me to Uncle Bonsai sometime in the early '90s. I can't say I know much about them: a Seattle-based trio with a snarky, folkish style, one man, two women. Their songs are often raunchy, irreverent and extremely funny, though this one is rather tame. Other titles include "Penis Envy" and "Boys Want Sex in the Morning."

ReplyDeleteas Dick Clark would say I give a 50 but great beat.
cheers, parsnip and badger
I do. This project is often like visiting old friends. I can't say I actually listen to Uncle Bonsai much at all. But there was a summer when I did.
DeleteI can appreciate the talent but it isn't something I'd listen to. I found a new song I love (tho this love may be fleeting...) by Greta Van Fleet, Highway.
ReplyDeleteI've been hearing a lot about them - the new Zeppelin soundalikes. Not sure how I feel about them yet but the world is definitely overdue for a rock revival so I'm all for that.
Deleteyes, a bit zeppelin like, and definitely the lead singer's voice, but not a lot of depth to music yet. They're young yet so we'll see.
DeleteTime is the true test.
